Company Overview Our client is a WOFE with corporate HQ at Chengdu, China. The Group’s core business is distribution and retailing of skin care products and provision of skin care service. It owns and operates more than 300 skin care centers/beauty salons in Sichuan and its vicinity provinces. Due to business growth and in anticipation of IPO in the next few years, a professional COO is required to assist the Chairperson to manage the operations. Chief Operating Officer
PURPOSE
Plan and direct all aspects of the company’s operational policies, objectives, initiatives.
Responsible for the attainment of short- and long-term financial and operational goals.
Direct the development of the organization to ensure future growth.
REPORTING AND SUPERVISION
The Chief Operating Officer reports to the Chairperson of the Group and supervises the sales and marketing and PR divisions with a total of 4000 staff, which includes 5 Regional Sales Directors who are responsible for day to day operations.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Leadership
To build and lead an effective and cohesive marketing/sales/channel management team with effective succession planning.
To lead and evaluate the marketing/sales/channel management team.
To represent the Company to the regulatory authorities, the media and the general public.
Strategy
To manage the creation of an appropriate vision and long-term strategy for the Company to be agreed by the board.
To successfully communicate and implement the group's strategy as agreed by the board.
To develop and put in place strategic operating plans and budgets for the business units and central functions that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities of the board.
Operations and controls
To take remedial action where necessary and to inform the board of any significant changes.
To advise, establish or refine the most appropriate structure for the group’s marketing/sales/channel management, in particular those for beauty center management.
To ensure appropriate and satisfactory systems are in place for monitoring group performance against plans and budgets.
To ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees.
To ensure that the operations comply with internal audit and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, best practice.
To ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with communication and reporting.
To report to the board regularly on the operation of the Company's businesses both at board meetings and at other times.
To provide such information to the board as the board and the Chairperson require in order for the board to assess the performance of the business and the achievement of the agreed strategy and budget.
To ensure that a system is in place for effective communication with the executive management team and other employees.
To be responsible for all the marketing/sales/channel planning and supervision of implementation strategies.
To be responsible for all the branding and new products introduction initiatives, which include planning and implementation.
Management
To appoint, build and maintain an effective operational team.
To be responsible for upgrading any training systems necessary to improve customer service and effective running of the franchise business.
To liaise with government or any local authority on expanding the business franchise |
| 职位要求 |
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 15 years in a general management capacity with demonstrated success leading a sizeable beauty/personal care business or operating unit of a marketing company with retail/service-oriented franchise. China experience a must for at least 10 years.
Bachelor degree (MBA preferred).
Outstanding leadership, team-building, change management and organizational development skills required.
Resourceful, with experience overseeing operations in multiple geographic locations through multiple go-to-market channels including direct sales, retail, and specialty distribution.
Management maturity will be critical in mentoring the company and in leading the business transformation necessary to move the organization into new directions that extend its profitable growth while building off a strong core.
Candidates who have a proven track record of China business development and operational execution success grounded in sound strategic direction in fashion/esthetics and beauty products or services will fit the profile. The position will need to station in Chengdu, China with frequent travel to other parts of the country.
